Timeline of Important Events in Canon History:
Tsuyu takes the entrance exam for Yuuei Academy (A highschool specifically dedicated to training future Heroes and Sidekicks) after going through Middle School-she passes and begins classes in Class 1-A
She goes through early class tests somewhat unnoticed, doing reasonably well in speed (50 meter dash-Quirk Apprehension Test).
During the USJ trip meant for testing natural disaster responses, the class is scattered and attacked by the Villain Alliance; Tsuyu is transported to the flood zone with Izuku & Mineta, where she uses her calm to rally them against the villains cornering them.
After successfully dealing with the villains in the water, Tsuyu is attacked by the villain 'Tomura', spared by her teacher Aizawa's quirk 'Erasure' (he nullifies Tomura's ability, sparing her life).
From here, when Izuku's attempt to save her is stopped by 'Noumu' she attempts to instead save him by pulling her face away from Tomura long enough to reach for Izuku with her tongue. All Might appears at this time to save everyone, pulling herself and the others with her from harm.
Tsuyu is last seen carrying Aizawa to safety while Izuku goes back for All Might; she's then later seen at the end of the battle with the remaining classmates, ready to head back from USJ.
During the Sports Festival that follows this disaster, Tsuyu does well in the obstacle course, placing 13th after avoiding Todoroki's ice and successfully traversing the tightropes; this takes her to the second round, the Human Cavalry Battle.
During the Cavalry Battle she teams up with Mineta and Shouji, the latter carrying them hidden in his 'arms', while she uses her tongue to snatch headbands. They eventually lose, leaving her to continue from the sidelines as a cheerleader (technically a prank made by Mineta and Kaminari, who claimed the girls were being called for a battle; she still enjoyed cheering and continued through with it however).
The Sports Festival was followed by a class where she and her classmates were to make 'Hero Names' (Tsuyu makes the name 'Froppy')-she and the others are then made to choose a work place to travel to for practical experience, and like most of her classmates she thus leaves for a week to do so.
Not much is known about how her training went, but she spent time with the Hero's equivalent of the Coast Guard, and successfully captured a stow-away while on the job.
Following the Foundational Studies week, Tsuyu and her class need to prepare for the 'End of Term Test'; in her class' case it's paired battles against members of the staff, with her partner being Tokoyami.
Despite difficulties, Tsuyu's calm keeps Tokoyami on track, and they successfully use their skills together in order to pass the test-using Tsuyu's regurgitation ability to have Tokoyami's shadow feint an attack, while actually placing an item she'd hidden away in her stomach (handcuffs, required for one of the solutions to pass the test).
With the exam passed, Tsuyu goes with her classmates to the Kiyashi Shopping Mall for a supply run before their summer lodge trip.
After the shopping trip, their school trip officially began, only to be invaded by a team of villains. While other students are 'authorized' to face the villains, Tsuyu ends up facing the sadistic, 'yandere' type Himiko Toga alongside Ochako already.
Ochako is injured by Himiko, but Tsuyu successfully saves her and sends her to get help; when Tsuyu in turn is pinned and nearly killed by Himiko, Ochako howeve returns to successfully apprehend her.
While the two seemingly succeed in capturing her however, Himiko overpowers them, draining Ochako of her blood; it is the arrival of the ones with Bakugou that saves her.
Unfortunately for everyone, a masked villain appears at this time to successfully steal away Bakugou; though Tsuyu and Ochako attempt to head them off at the villain's rendezvous, they fail.
Two days after, everyone is recovering; Tsuyu meets with Izuku and the others at the Hospital, where the possibility of launching a rescue of Bakugou themselves arises. Tsuyu refuses, claiming that the matter needs to be handled by the professional heroes who have already gone ahead-to break the rules would only make them as bad as villains, according to her.
Nonetheless, Tsuyu witnesses the broadcasted conclusion of the rescue mission that Izuku and a number of others proceed to carry out despite it being a breach of the rules, a sight that includes the reveal of All Might's quirk backfire.
Following the incident, the students of the school are moved into dormitories; feeling guilty over her last words to Izuku and the others, Tsuyu locks herself in her room while everyone explores each others rooms and socializes, before later coming out to apologize whole-heartedly for what occurred.
After this, the school creates a Boot Camp to fill the remaining Summer season, during which the students are to create 'special moves' (rather, learn to focus their powers in more creative ways).
The Boot Camp comes to its end, leading into a competition between schools in order to receive a provisional licence. Being a member of U.A., Tsuyu is naturally subject to what the other schools call 'the U.A. Crushing', wherein the students of the other schools during the massive free for all deliberately gang up on U.A.'s classes.
It's not seen how, but she is viewed later in the waiting room with the others who successfully passed this stage; it can thus be assumed she has two 'special moves' under her belt, in addition to this. As the current arc is in the middle of the next round's stage, this time in the waiting room, after all of her school have passed stage 1, is when she is taken to the game setting.
Personality:
In your character's canon, what motivates or drives them to make the decisions and choices they make?
Tsuyu's motivations are more than just the common desires 'to win' or 'to be a hero’; she seems to act with a sense of 'true justice' and responsibility, aiming for what she feels to be the greatest solution to what lies before her. It's a very logical way of thinking - and yet very much not, as one can see from her own words: "It doesn't matter how righteous our feelings are. If we start another fight...if we break the law...then we're no better than the villains!" She believes in a good that does not come at the expense of morals and values - and with Tsuyu, this pays off.
As a person, Tsuyu can seem quite bland, and even boring - her middle school years enforced this for people around her, when her studies and responsibilities kept her too busy to put much effort into socializing outside of classes. She would immediately go home to look after two siblings - cooking their meals and helping them with what they needed - and despite the workload upon her it's clear that she never felt she was being stretched thin or taken advantage of for it. She saw her family as her responsibility and genuinely cared for them as well, something she applies to anyone she becomes close to.
Despite not having the most time for others, Tsuyu remains a relatively friendly and kind person. She's straightforward - and blunt, of course. She herself tells Izuku clearly when they meet that she 'always speaks [her] mind', and throughout the series is very open about her observations and opinions ('Mineta is having dirty thoughts.') - but as much as such habits can turn people away, she remains a very kind and understanding sort when it comes to those around her, able to see through actions that most would consider 'creepy' to find a person's true heart. This is how she was able to make her first friend outside of high school, and is very likely what has allowed her to make more within Yuuei itself. Blunt she may be, but she still acts with the best of intentions.
She has feelings after all, and she values her friends and family above anything. It is to the point where, after an incident in which she accuses some of her friends of being no better than villains for their intentions of a rescue that involved breaking serious rules, her reaction to them continuing through it all the same was to become overcome with upset within herself, as she felt she had been a coward for saying such things when she in fact sympathized with them. Being overcome with such feelings when she's in fact normally so straightforward leaves Tsuyu unable to socialize-she can't simply pretend that everything is alright, and in that situation in particular it drives her to a tearful apology over the matter. She cares after all, at her core-she doesn't want to see anyone upset, no matter how straightforward she prefers to be.
Such feelings, no matter how one looks at it, are more than fitting of a hero. As a 'Hero', she has already chosen a name for herself -'Froppy' - which is noted by her teacher as something 'child friendly' and 'approachable', and this is something Tsuyu has likely considered as well. She is not the 'genius' of the class by far, but between her kindness and her intelligence it would not be such a stretch of thought. Tsuyu takes everything she can grasp into consideration when she encounters something, and these skills pay off as a Hero who otherwise lacks brute strength. She is touted as being an 'emotional pillar of support' -something seen already in her attitudes toward others, but more importantly in her ability to keep a cool head.
Perhaps it is something that causes her bluntness as a consequence - but no matter the severity of the situation, Tsuyu is constantly seen keeping her cool, with only the occasional slip of alarm. She takes in the situation and reminds those with her of what they can do while making the best of what she herself has as well. These skills allow her to balance the scales between even the worst of match-ups, as proven by her success in her end of term exam. Her partner was pitted against the worst possible opponent for his skill set - yet with her guidance and assistance he was able to 'capture' and pass their exam, and this help came all while offering reassurance to the other (albeit in her own, direct, manner).
It should come as no surprise, then, that she is in fact a passionate young woman, rather than some bland girl in the corner of the room. Her support for others, her dedication to her profession - all of this is connected by a strong and even fiery passion that only rarely comes forward in her emotions. Her movements come without hesitation against her enemies - and her words come immediately and directly, not as insults but as statements. Her response to an opponent using her first name is to sternly tell them that 'only my friends are allowed to use that name', and there isn't so much as a flinch or pause between this and her move against them.
Overall, it makes sense that Tsuyu's move during her class' lesson in making hero names drives others to pour their hearts into it and get moving. Everything about her speaks of her own dedication to the role, from her cold ferocity against those who commit crime, to her open and honest nature with others - and more importantly, her desire to protect and take care of those who she calls friends and family. She is a true 'hero', no matter where her powers place her, and it is only fitting that she stand among those called to bond with dragons.
Abilities, Magic and Supernatural Skills/Afflictions:
Tsuyu is from 'Boku no Hero Academia', which means that like 80% of the population of her version of Earth, she has a 'Qurik', or a power. Tsuyu's Quirk is called 'Frog-Form': whatever a frog can do, she can...more or less. (This is displayed by her physical appearance, in fact.)
This includes hopping long distances, sticking to walls, extending her tongue as far as 20 meters to grabbing or throwing things with it (note that she needs to wrap her tongue around something to do those things, as it in itself is not sticky)...she can even eject/flush out her stomach, and secret a somewhat toxic, sticky fluid from it (though this stings her tongue).
Naturally, she's no more able to breathe water than a frog can-but it's only very vaguely implied through a single 'training montage' panel that she might have the ability to obtain oxygen through the water, which in turn would allow her to remain under it for inhuman periods of time without air. ...She is, however, confirmed to be sensitive to the cold (it's why I didn't look at Ice for her in fact!)

Dragon & Magical Element
Elemental Alignment:
- Water - Water is very much Tsuyu's theme, so it would be very strange for me to not even consider this one for her to say the least. Her abilities stem from being frog-like, so she's very at home in the water; she even uses 'the Rainy Season Hero' as a tagline for her hero name. Her costume incorporates goggles for undersea work, and during her practical studies she worked on the water as well. So giving her that connection makes sense!
Wind - Similar to Water, wind works well with Tsuyu because of how it can be connected to her; while the frog is hardly a flying creature (though some argue...), wind is still something that becomes a key part of how water works, and it is after all an element that is connected to it in the game setting. In this case there are the tides especially, as well as lung adaptation (think 'hold your breath'), and mist; there are lots of over laps that work rather uniquely here I think.
Energy - I was actually very stuck on a third element, so Energy came after a lot of thought-! (It was between this and Earth in the end) I decided in the end though that Energy works best as a third option because of its more subtle reference to Tsuyu's theme; Tsuyu wishes to refer to herself as the 'Rainy Season' hero...so what better things to associate with that than storms, and the weather! Energy itself is something that can be associated with frogs in a unique way; the electric systems of the nervous system, 'animal electricity', are things that were only looked into after an Italian physician realized that striking dead frogs legs with a spark caused them to twitch. There's also the added bonus of giving one of the more 'plain', 'down to earth' and calm sorts 'energy' as a magical field of course.
Dragon:
- Egg: Tsuyu's egg is an odd one, and is about the size of an ostrich egg. However, unlike a normal egg, it is rather wobbly, like jelly, requiring a lot of care to keep safe; the inside is more egg like, and is about the size that the yolk of such an egg would be-it's a pitch black, and it's impossible to properly see what's going on in there. Once it hatches, whatever dragon comes out will probably have to dig itself from the protective jelly.
- Body Type: 'Snake'. Specifically, Tsuyu's dragon resembles a snake, with a long mane of hair; this hair however can fan out, and appears to in fact be more of a great long set of wings; combined with the dragon's natural ability to flatten itself, it's a bit like a strange snake-carpet sometimes. It's actual body is extremely slim, but when the wings curl around it, it appears far thicker than it actually is. For reference purposes, this dragon thus has one pair of wings; but as these wings are formed with a multitude of legs (which can in fact be used to cling to surfaces the dragon coils on!), it additionally has potentially 20 bug-like legs. While it should be capable of flight as an adult (and possibly able to carry multiple passengers while doing so!), it will likely be unable to do more than glide in its infant stages.
- General Appearance: As a serpent-like dragon, this dragon is covered in various scales. These scales are fairly 'prickly' in appearance, so it's difficult to stroke except in a particular direction. What appear to be whiskers (like a catfish) can be seen near the nostrils as well. Unlike a snake, this dragon has eyelids however-as well as 'hair'. Running from end to end of the body what appears to be hair hangs and curls around the dragon, filling the body. When spread outward however, these 'hairs' reveal themselves to in fact be legs connected by stretches of membrane, forming great wings with which it can glide and fly. At certain points, the 'legs' appear almost like odd feathers, sticking out awkwardly while curled around the body. In terms of coloration, the mane itself is dark and shining, but the hidden membrane is far lighter. The brightest thing about this dragon are the eyes-they are a brilliant yellow, and very 'eye-catching'.
- Adult Size: While certainly not 6 meters tall, being a 'snake' makes this dragon MUCH longer than that, classing him as potentially Giant. (It's a fair bit narrower than in the image, though; think this, in terms of anatomy.) Though the tallest it can 'stand' is perhaps somewhere around 5 meters (with strain), the length totals to about 14 meters. Fortunately for everyone, as much as this dragon likes to hang from things, it also tends to coil on top of that, so it doesn't need a very tall room to sleep in!! In terms of wingspan as well, things aren't so bad; where the snake itself is less than a meter wide, the full wingspan totals to just under three meters.
- Specific Number of Wings & Legs: Technically speaking, one could argue that this dragon has two wings and no legs; however the wings themselves are held together with MANY legs-while all of them can grasp at walls and similar however, only four close to the far end of the body can move independently of the wings. (To that end, these are the ones that awkwardly jut out like 'feathers' when the wings are folded; it also makes this dragon 'four legged' in cases where it can't be considered 'multi legged')
- Specific Hide Details: Habuto is covered primarily in thick scales, with a smooth membrane forming between most of his legs to create wings. Between the legs, is a mane of 'hair', which is in fact formed of a material known as chitin. This allows a certain amount of protection and durability to the hide, but not so much comfort for the partner riding them. ( :[ )
- Flight & Transport Capabilities: By adult stage, this dragon will not only be able to fly (somehow), but should be capable of carrying up to three adult people; while technically long enough for more, you can't expect him to fly with all of you!
- Diet: Large enough to swallow a human being whole, it's fortunate that this dragon doesn't have to eat regularly! Much like a snake, a decent sized meal keeps them going for a week...unfortunately that meal is probably going to be whale sized. They seem to prefer seafood, in any case, though if they're hungry enough they won't turn their nose at something like a cow.
Personality traits inherited from Character Bond: - 'Fierceness' - While Tsuyu's ferocity is very much dampened by other aspects of her personality, she has a very strong sense of how she feels, and what to do with it-and unfortunately so will the dragon, but without the calm to keep that down!
- 'Familialness' - As hair-trigger as this dragon will be, they will still have a strong sense of protection when it comes to the things and people they love; a strong familial bond has the chance to be formed here, and while it's not as strong as the bond between themselves and their partner, it's enough that they might try to learn what that 'hug' thing humans do is. (Bad idea, no snake-dragon!!!)
- 'Observation' - When the spark of anger isn't lit, this dragon is relatively intelligent, and observant; much like some birds, it can figure out tricky things such as how to open up certain doors, and latches, from just a few noted connections.

First Sample: Temple PSL Fun here, & from the recent TDM, A thread with Shego!
Second Sample: NOTE: this sample was written 5 months ago when the game was originally going to open; if a newer sample is needed, I can easily provide one!
[The first thing she needed to do now that she was here, was find a place to stay. From the main square of Nuren, there were of course directions to a Tavern and Inn-but from the directions given by those in the square, it was the caverns above that she found. Shelter, as it seemed, was easy to acquire-complete with the comforts of a simple home.
Then, the next thing to find now that she had her egg carefully nesting there, was food. She did not know what would come out of the egg, and what it would eat, but she would certainly need some for herself.
Diligently, she paced the marketplace with her pouch of coins at the ready; logging prices in the back of her mind, and boldly asking what each plant or meat-thing was whenever it seemed like something far from home.
And truthfully, it felt that everything was far from home.
It's strange, she thinks, how much she took for granted without thinking of it. She doesn't have a phone here (not that she could have called anyone), and she doesn't have anything like a microwave either. If she wants to make sure she's absolutely warm, she'll need to stock up on blankets, and while she doesn't doubt the skills of the craftsmen here, she already knows that whatever she has made will be far different compared to her original costume.
It's strange. ....but.
She jots things on her list, re-making the designs she would have sent to her school's costume makers a few months ago, and finds herself sighing internally.]
...At least, [she manages to tell herself,] I don't have to worry about what they're thinking, now.
[She can't ask herself if her family will be worried. According to that bird, her family is gone. She could think and consider if the bird is lying, but she can see it in her memory-so she steadies her resolve.
She'll live-she'll do her best, and work hard, as she always does. Whatever comes, will come-both of her, she thinks, looking to her egg once back at home with her new supplies, and of her dragon.]
